An anthrophobic Chinese poet, unable to cope with the death of his goldfish Daisy, spends a fortune that he does not have to clone her at a clone company, but it is not the same. He tries to return the botched imposter. Daisy is Gone It’s a comedy with absurdist fiction and science fiction elements. It is inspired by the reality in China - young people are unable to process or express their emotions, especially when it comes to grief in a fast-paced ever-changing society. Hope lies in being able to accept loss and start to develop real human connections.
